Steamboat

This place serves free-flow of 8 Hagen Dazs and 8 Movenpick ice-cream to choose from! EAT ALL you can!!! However you are only given 2 hours. We all left the place with an ice-cream cone in our hands, stuff with as much ice-cream as possible. You have to make reservations in advance because they are very packed during meal times.

There are 4 types of soup base to choose from – 麻辣锅 (ma-la),蔬菜精力锅 (vegetable),东北酸菜锅 (preserved vegetable) and 膠原蛋白锅 (collagen)。We chose the ma-la soup and vegetable soup.

There are 101 types of food to choose from, and meat are freshly cut upon order. Meat include America’s Angus beef!

Besides all the fresh food, there are also many choices of tea, fruits and desserts to choose from. PLUS, free-flow of Taiwan beer! Really spoilt for choice!!! Customers can bring in their own beverages or alcohols in. They do not charge for this.

Definitely a MUST-go because it’s really cheap and the food is good! You’re sure gonna have a great time with your friends!

Food at Taroko National Park

We engaged in a tour guide to bring us around Taroko. For lunch, we headed to this place near

The food was a little expensive. The ever so very popular (Braised pork rice) was a big disappointment. The pork were all fatty, and the sauce wasn’t very tasty. My mum makes better braised pork. The fried noodles had no meat and cost SGD$3. It wasn’t that tasty, and it was very oily.

The smelly toufu were good, especially the ma la (麻辣) flavoured one. But once the two dishes cooled down, it was really quite smelly to put into the mouth. Haha, but they were really very good when they were hot.

Not to be missed is taiwan sausages! They were thick and succulent. But sinful, cos they were tad too oily!

They have their local vegetables that were super crunchy. Don’t know the name of the vegetable, though.

Overall, this is a place for tourists. If you have other choices, go for them.

Taipei Railway Station

Upon reaching Taipei Railway Station, we were already very hungry. So we went to the “food court” on the second level to have our meals after buying out tickets to Hualian. The food was ok for a start. Here are the food we ate:

There is also a bakery shop called “Milkhouses” that sells many creative bread. No photography was allowed there, so no photos. If you’re a bread lover, you won’t be able to resist them!
